I have Visio Pro 2003 and the Visio SDK installed. I used the "SSAdmin.exe"
tools in the SDK/ShapeStudio directory to create database (local machine).
Using a local version of the SQL 2000 Desktop data engine (MSDE) I can
connect to database using ShapeStudio application under the Tools menu. I
have a network server (Win 2003 server Std.) with SQL 2000 Std. installed. I
used the same "SSAdmin.exe" command to generate ShapeStudio database on
network server. If I open the ShapeStudio appliction and create a new data
source pointing to the remote server I get connection error. If I check the
ODBC data source created in the ShapeStudio create new data source window
from the Admin Tools/ODBC it tests successfully. Do I need to have a
connection string command and where would I place it for ShapeStudio to pick
it up?
