I am working with another person to edit and revise a very long document
(almost 1 Meg).

Sending as an email attachment doesn't work. And also it is not as
interactive as I'd like.

Is there some way I can post the document on a password protected website so
we can both access and edit it? Where would I find instructions on how to do
that?

That's not a simple task. You need a setup such as SharePoint to achieve
this. Have you tried using WinZip to zip up your document to email as an
attachment? That works fine.

Thank you, Terry.

Yes, WinZip should work as a last resort. I've never used it, but it sounds
simple enough.

However, another idea has occurred to me.
It will not be necessary for my friend to actually edit, the document. All
he needs is to be able to SEE the document and email me comments while I
actually do the editing part.

Is it possiple for me to put the document on a webpage and send him the URL
so he can simply READ the document and then comment to me via email?

Thanks again, Terry.
My fingers are crossed. I'm hoping this will be pretty simple.

Yes, of course you can. Most Internet accounts come with POP email (usually
several POP boxes) and a moderate a mount of web space - typically 20MB. You
can set up a simple web site to display your documents.
