Share an additional calendar - NOT my regular calendar - with a gr

I am trying to share an additional calendar I've set up. I also tried to
follow the directions in another post, to no avail.

The other people can see my regular calendar, but not the additional one.
I've tried to follow the directions and am feeling rather stupid at this
point.

I want to share ONLY the additional calendar, NOT my regular calendar, not
my email, etc.

Can anyone offer directions, rather step-by-step, for the Outlook dummies
out there?? I tried following the post by the tech, and my menu choices are
different than what she posted and I get errors, etc. I have Outlook 2003
and I believe I'm on an exchange server.

I have followed all directions about going in through Tools|Email
Accounts|Advanced, etc. and they STILL see ONLY my regular calendar.

We've looked under folders, etc etc etc. Any help??!!

The post you cited probably had step-by-step instructions, since the same question is asked here at least once a day. Requirements that you may have overlooked (or thought you could skip):

-- The user sharing the folder must share that folder and grant Folder Visible to that folder's parent folder and every other folder up the hierarchy including the mailbox root.

-- The other user must add your mailbox to the settings for their Exchange account.

-- When all configuration tasks are complete, the other user should see the shared mailbox in their Folder List navigation pane, along with the folder hierarchy leading to the shared folder.

If you get errors, provide details. We can't read your screen from here.

From earlier today in this very group, thanks to Sue Mosher

To access a shared folder that isn't one of the folders listed on the File |
Open | Other User's Folder dialog, the mailbox owner needs to grant "folder
visible" permission to the root of the mailbox and any other parent folders
of the shared folder, as well as appropriate permission -- at least
Reviewer -- on the shared folder itself.

The user who needs access then goes into Tools | E-mail Accounts or Tools |
Services (depending on the Outlook version), brings up the properties for
the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab, adds the mailbox.

For more information on folder permissions, with how-to screen shots, see

The instructions from Sue Mosher are the ones I'm talking about.

My mailbox shows under the other users "Folder Navigation Pane" but, if she
clicks on it, it says unable to open folder. I have granted permissions in
mailbox, calendar, and the subcalendar. I have added the mailbox to the
other user.

The other user can view my regular calendar - just not the sub calendar.

ALL PERMISSIONS HAVE "FOLDER VISIBLE" checked.

The "sub-calendar" needs more than Folder Visible permission. It needs at least Reviewer, and other permissions as well if you want the other user to be able to add or edit items in that folder.

The symptoms you describe suggest that either the permissions haven't propagated yet (sometimes it can take an hour or two) or the permissions are not set correctly. Why don't you bring up the properties for the root of your mailbox and tell us exactly what permissions are set there?

Ok, moving to a new and separate folder did the trick - BUT it would be so
much nicer if the "Share Calendar" actually did just that! Can't wait for
the 2007 you spoke of!!

Thanks for your help!
