Share Calender in Outlook 2007

Sei Kal

In our organization, we have changed the the default data file path. This makes the "Share a Calender" option disappear.

First of all, is there any anything to work around this?

Secondly, if there is nothing that can be done in the above case, I tried sharing the calender by publishing it in Office Online. Apparently the calender is shared but when I sent it to my colleague's work e-mail address, he is unable to access it. It asks for authentication and cannot contact the web server when he enters his credentials. How to make this work? I don't want to go sharing my Windows Live credentials with everyone who I want to give access to.

Help please!
Thanks is advance!

Hi Sei Kal,

First of all, when you share a Calendar for example with (e-mail address removed)
that person must create a Windows Live ID using (e-mail address removed) not your
Windows Live ID.

When your organization changed the default data file path, it must also
be changed in all copies of Outlook, telling Outlook where to look for the
data files. Once the change is made, reboot the computer.

Now restart Outlook and reshare the Calendar.

Are you using Exchange server? If so, you need to use the exchange mailbox
as the default delivery location to share the calendar. This is the best
option - office online is not nearly as good as using exchange's
capabilities.

If you use office online, the coworker needs to log on with his live id that
is associated with his email address.
