Share folder and web home page

Hi.

I am using Outlook 2003 in an exchange environment. The IT department has
not made public folders, custom mail boxes or any other tool we can use to
handle incoming mails to a group of people in my team. Because of this I am
trying to share a messagefolder in my personal exchange mailbox. In this
folder I want to have web-page show up when selecting the top folder and then
it will have a inbox folder underneath which all incoming mails to the
mailinglist is routed to.
My issue is that when I configure the top folder to show a webpage by
default, it works on my computer. But on the other computers, when selecting
the folder in my mailbox it doesn't display the web page.
Is there anyway to propulgate the "show home page by default" and "home page
address" to other users acsessing my shared folder?

Hi Bjorn,

I think with "display the web page" you will mean the "Outlook Today" web
site.

This "Outlook Today" website is not shareble, it is a local "DLL".

You could try our "Public ShareFolder Today". We "share" with this freeware
our "shared PST" files.

We did not try it with Exchange mailboxes , but normally it must work also
with Exchange mailboxes.

Maybe it helps.

Hi.

No, it's not the Outlook today web I want to share. It is a new folder I
created on my exchange mailbox, just like my inbox or any other messaging
folder.
On this folder, I am trying to enable it to display a home page (web) by
going into properties on that folder and configuring it to show a home page
by default, and entering a correct URL. When other users are trying to click
on this folder, they get a list of items in that folder instead of it showing
the configured web page. When other users go into properties, the
configuration is not there. If they try to configure an URL and select
"display home page by default", and then try to display the folder. It
displays a list of items in the folder still. When entering the properties
page again, all the configured settings is gone.
