Hey,

I have 3 databases on 3 different computer and i want to bring together
these databases on my small business server 2003.

Where on the Server I have to put these 3 databases? And what I have to open
on ISA firewall and windows xp firewall on local computer?

Can you explain the method i have to follow to share this database accurately.

Best regards.

In short, with BCM 2007, you need a Sql Server instance called
MSSMLBIZ, configured to use SQLPort 5356, and you should turn on Force
Encryption to protect your connections. Then attach your three
databases to that instance. If you have a workgroup network (as
opposed to a domain) the users that created the databases should have
accounts on the server, with the same username and password as on the
clients.

The method is similar for 2003.

The differences are the instance and port number.
With BCM v2 they were:
SQLInstanceName = MICROSOFTSMLBIZ, and
SQLPort = 56183.

Also BCM v3 uses Sql Server Express 2005, and v2 used a version Sql
2000, but the BCM databases should behave the same way.

Because many of the issues are the same for BCM v2 and BCM v3, it is
still worth reading the document I linked to earlier, but setting up a
database on another server was not "supported" with v2, which means
that Microsoft support can't help you if you call them.

Over the years, several people successfully put v2 on a server, and
they reported several tips and traps on this newsgroup, so you can
search the newsgroup for their suggestions.
