Share Outlook between 2 pc's

Sorry if this is a stupid or basic question but I want to know if the
following can be done.

I have a home pc (located upstairs) with Outlook 2000 installed. I am
about to buy a laptop to use mainly for surfing the net downstairs.
(doing this using wireless network etc) Is it possible to share my
inbox/address book between my 2 pcs, so for example if I use the
laptop one evening and download emails using Outlook, if I went
upstairs, I could view the same emails either by a shared folder or by
syncronising the two when the other pc opens outlook. Or would I need
a separate server that has Exchange set up and is running all the
time? That both the pc and laptop connect into to view mailbox.

????

Many thanks

Yes, you can, but Microsoft does NOT support it, so you need to backup
very regularly!
Just move the pst file to a shared drive or partition, and point each
instance of Outlook at it. Note: You can only have ONE instance of
outlook accessing the pst file at any one time.
