Share point Synching

My company uses share point calendars. I have linked the calendar to Outlook
2007. And when I create appointments in Outlook they translate to Sharepoint
missing once piece of information. The Share Point calendar has a start date
box as well as start time and end time boxes. How do I get the start date box
filled out with out having to go into the Share Point calendar on the web?
