Three people open a generic Exchange mailbox (Outlook 2003) from within their
personal accounts. I need a way to have all sent items over 4 months old to
save to a pst (archive? personal folder?) which does not have to be
accessible to anyone, but is used for document retention. I tried setting
auto archive, but since the setting sticks with the folder, I expect all
would end up with a pst file on their local machine. Network pst files are
not sanctioned. I tried looking at rules which have the "on this machine
only" setting which I am guessing means the person who set up the rule, but I
can't find any date parameter.
The other factor is that since the account is being viewed in their personal
accounts, the reply goes into their personal sent items. They then drag the
personal sent item to the shared sent item folder. Will this record as a
true sent item from the shared account?
Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this? It needs to be EASY and happen
without user having to do much manually.
Thanks
