Hi everyone,
I have months developing a Shared Add-In for Word/Excel and it works great.
Im testing it with some users and the problem is that with some users, the
Word add-in works fine but the Excel add-in is not loading . I cant see the
problem, im always getting "Not loaded. A runtime error occured during the
loading of the COM Add-in".
I saw the following error in the Event viewer:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( .NET Runtime ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able
to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Unable
to open shim database version registry key - v2.0.50727.00000.
I downloaded and installed the hotfix to fix that problem but the problem in
excel is still there.
I know that it must be something related to permissions because the machines
with problems hava less privileges than the ones that works perfectly.
Please, i need some help here.
Regards,
