Hello,
SETUP
I am using MS Outlook 2003, MS Exchange Server, and am sharing my
calendar (stored on a folder on the Exchange Server).
QUESTION
I have my Calendar shared with my assistant by setting up permissions
in the following:
1. Share My Calendar ...
2. Permissions
Add --> I added my assistant as an Editor
Left the rest --> Default and Anonymous have NONE and no permissions
have been granted
I have only three entries on my Permissions -- Default (None), my
assistant (Editor), and Anonymous (None)
This works well...the assistant is able to do everything she needs
(add, delete, update, etc).
PROBLEM
Any other person in my organization can go through their MS Outlook and
open my calendar (through "Open a Shared Calendar") without my
permission. They cannot edit, but can view all appointments.
I would like for everyone to be able to view my calendar, but not
details, simply show the time as BUSY (which is how I enter all
appointments). Is this possible?
The additional curious question that arises is: Based on the
permissions outlined above, why are they even able to open my calendar
in the first place?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Kevin
