shared calender in 03 doesnt open in 07

We currently have a shared calender that our team can see and put meetings
and events within outlook.

With Outlook 2003 the calender works fine but once we upgraded to 2007, it
does not recognize the .xnk file extension.

The .xnk file extension is no longer supported in Outlook 2007, for security reasons, I imagine.

Huh? Why would a calendar be in an address book?

When I go to FIle open other user folders in pops up our global address book.
Even when I get to browse to where the folder is it does not open.

When I try to it says the file "name.xnk" is not a valid internet calernder
file.

-- in a public folder
-- in a mailbox
-- the default Calendar in a mailbox
-- a non-default folder in a maobox

As I already said, xnk files are not supported in Outlook 2007.

Display the Folder List. Navigate in the Public Folders hierarchy to the folder. Drag it to Public Folders\Favorites. (Or use the equivalent command on the right-click menu.)

Hi Sue,
This looks like it might be the answer to issue. Installed Office2007 on my
XP SP3 desktop - We have Server/Exchange 2003. I don't see the shared/public
canledars anymore. I don't know what you mean by Display Folder List - Nav
Public Folder hierachy. I don't see anything called Public Folders? Most
likely I'm just having a case of the stupids but it is confusing?

For the benefit of others who might find this thread, since you now know
where to look - Ctrl+6 to show the folder list. Outlook 2003 and up use a
Navigation pane which shows the mail folders by default. Public folder tree
is only visible in the folder list.
