Shared Contact folder

I have two users, one of which uses Outlook 2000 and the other uses
Outlook XP. My email system is Exchange 2000. Currently, the user
with Outlook 2000 (user number 1) wants the user (user number 2) with
Outlook XP to use all of HIS contacts. But simply opening the other
user's Contacts won't work. Instead, I need that the actual contact
folder in user 2's mailbox be user 1's contacts, so that it may sync
with a palm correctly. Is there any way to make this happen? Maybe
at least sync the two contact folders? A simply copy will not keep
them up to date, so this will not be acceptable. A public folder with
shared contacts will also not work.

Thanks,
MrMcFu

Hi MrMcFu,

Why not? For a Palm sync you will need additional software to sync with a
Public Exchange Folder like:
www.pumatech.com
www.extendedsystems.com
www.chapura.com

http://www.slipstick.com/addins/olpda.htm

but a public folder with shared contacts normaly must work. What does not
work in your Exchange?

Thanks for your reply Oliver,

A collegue told us it would not sync public folders normally, and
all this software looks like stuff you have to pay for. Sure it would
work for the purposes of sharing contacts, but syncing is the key.

I will see if I can get my firm to spring for that software. Thanks
again.
