shared contacts duplicate

I am administering a network which includes an exchange server 2003 and many
clients using MS-outlook 2003, there is a shared contacts group which is
owned by one user and reviewed by the others.
A user is using his PDA to synchronize this shared contacts group and other
folders while he is abroad.
the problem is sometimes I faced duplicates for some contacts in this group,
and i had to delete them everytime they r duplicated.
Is there any procedure or any utility to prevent any future duplicate.
any help would be appreciated.

Well there are duplicate removers that can help you sort out the mess after
a bad sync. Some of them are listed here;

Of course it would be better to sort out why the sync is going wrong. Start
with evaluating the sync settings of the sync software that you use.
