Shared DB performance

Database Information:
BE Location: I:\ (at the root, as an .mdb file, size about
9MB)
FE Location: Users desktop, size about 21MB as an .mde
file.
Persistent connection to BE with a form always loaded (but
invisible)
Sub Datasheet set to [None]
Track name AutoCorret set to Off
Shortened the name of the BE
Logos are linked, not embedded.

When a user has the db opened and another user tries to
open it, it takes a good 30 seconds before (s)he can view
it. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Antonio

Have you went through the follwing list of things to check?

Virus software, and track-name autocorrect are certainly some things that
come to mind.

(don't think the autocorrect applies to mde)...but you want to work your way
through the above list...

Darn. That should be all you need.

No disrespect intended but are you sure it is pulling in some records?
There's nothing wierd on the record source or filter or something like
that?
