Shared Distribution Lists - 2nd attempt

We are having two issues with maintaining shared distribution lists. First,
when we make any changes to contact information from a custom contact form,
the update now button does not update their e-mail address and instead makes
them no longer available so that the must be deleted from the list and added
back. We are accessing our contacts via an Exchange server administered by a
third party so I'm not sure if that is part of the problem or not. Second,
only one person in our group has read/write permission to the contacts in
listed in our distribution lists so she seems to be the only one who has
access to the Update Now button. How do we keep distribution lists up to
date automatically so that we don't have to call her every time we want to
use a distribution list to update it.

I posted this on the 10th and have not gotten a repsonse yet and since I am
an MSDN subscriber, I'd appreciate an expedious answer.
