Shared link bar doesn't match FrontPage theme - HELP!

My shared link bar shows up with a graphic in Microsoft FrontPage 2003 on my
computer, but when I publish to the web the link bar shows up as text. The
text color is awful, very hard to read. I want to at least change the text
color, or better yet, to make the shared link bar match the theme I've
selected. Any idea what I did to create this mess? Obviously something is
overriding the shared link bar I'm seeing... thank you!

The live/remote server must have the FP2002 extensions and you must be publishing via FP's http
mode.

So, what do I do to fix the problem, assuming you're correct?

Perhaps this will be of use: When I open my local (i.e. on my computer)
files using a browser they appear fine; but when I open the files on the web
with the same browser, the problem is evident. Obviously, something's
different on the web, vs. what's on my hard drive, despite the fact that
what's on the web CAME from my hard drive.

HELP! (and thank you in advance)

Open you online site in FP
File open site http://www.yoursite.com and log in
Then apply your custom theme to the nav bar and run a Tools Recalculate hyperlinks
