Hello:
I hope that I can explain this properly. I support a number of Macs
running Office 2004 / Entourage 11.3.6-8 connecting to exchange server
2003.
In this organization they have set up Group mail Boxes i.e GMB-
(e-mail address removed), the Macs have no problems connecting to these
mailboxes. This time the user set up a "Shared" mailbox and granted
access to various users. On the PCs the users were able to OPEN other
users inbox and get the Shared mailbox with access to inbox - sent
items etc. When I go on the Mac and say open other users mailbox and
the GAL finds the correct mailbox it just gives me a icon of the
networked mailbox but no inbox drafts etc no spill-down.
Is there a difference between Shared and Group mailboxes? Why does it
work on the PC and not on the Mac? Silly question I know but can this
be done or does the user have to go back to the server folks and
request a "Group" mailbox.
Thanks in advance,
Rick
