Shared Notebooks- Who gets Access?

How can you specify, from withing the workgroup network, who will have access
to certain parts of a shared notebook?
-Do I have to save the notebook in a secure directory location and only give
a link to certain people?
-Or do I share the notebook publicly and password protect certain sections?
-Isnt there an option to choose who in my workgroup network would have
access to this notebook/section/page?

Any of the methods you describe would work. If you are using a notebook on a
file share (like \\myserver\location), then OneNote uses the permissions on
the file system folders.

If you set permissions on the folder which holds the notebook to you and
Alice, then only you and Alice can open the notebook.

Alternately, you can give Bob permission as well, and he can see the
notebook. If you password protect the "Finances" section (for example), then
he gets locked out of it. Passwords are per section.

In all cases, you can control access to the notebook and/or section. Once a
user gets access to a section, all pages are accessible.
