Has anyone used shared resources across sub-porjects in construction
projects, with respect to budgeting & cost accounting, with MSP2007. I
create and use a lot of templates, and it seems like a template for shared
resources, with the budget elements built in, ought to simplify developing
new projects.
With Overhead a reality in business, and we all deserve some earned profit
for providing solid value to clients, are allowances for overhead and
allowance for profit most practically entered as 'cost' resources? I read
that "fixed cost" don't show up in the budgeting functions.. My experience
is that "direct costs" only account for about 50 - 65% of the total costs of
doing busines, maybe even less in some circumstances, making it imparative to
budget for overhead & profit.
