Sharepoint 2003 and Visio

I see that the comments in the post you referenced cover several different
issues (Visio drawing corruption, data source access, COM add-ins). What
is the specific usage scenario that is impacted for your users?
File open/save/edit between multiple users
Visio drawings which connect to data sources
Users open drawings from SharePoint but cannot save back to the library
Sharing large drawings

In general, the SharePoint library 'actions' should be used, such as
right-click "Edit in Microsoft Office Visio". This denotes to the Server
that the file is already being edited by a user, which is one key to
avoiding corruption.

Which version(s) of SharePoint are in use?
SharePoint Portal Server 2003 (SPS 2003)
Windows SharePoint Server 2.0 (WSS 2)

Folks,

Our techs are using SharePoint 2003 to share drawings across different
geographical locations and are experiencing regular issues with corrupt
files (so far specifically Visio drawings). I found a post on the Visio
teams blog
(http://blogs.msdn.com/visio/archive/2007/01/19/sharing-diagrams-on-a-server
aspx)
but have not been able to find a resolution or other explanation.

We're currently using Viso 2007 and SharePoint 2003.

Thanks in advance,
Neil
