SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio?

I may need to do some development in SharePoint: What is the future of
SharePoint Designer? If it's shaky, I'll use Visual Studio instead. I don't
want to be stuck with legacy code that needs to be converted in the
near-future.

Steve it very much depends on the customisation you want to do. If it is
complicated, I would use Visual Studio, but SharePoint Designer certainly has
great features and I also believe that it will be a tool of the future so to
speak :)
Hope this helps

Marc - Thanks for the insight - sorry for inadvertently using the wrong
