Sharepoint intigration - Unable to create public document library

P

Paal

We got a new install of Project Server 2003 SP1. This is integrated with WSS
2.0 and everything seems to be working as it should, apart from one thing.

When trying to create a new document library under "Public documents", a 404
error is generated. (File not found)

I believe this to be bacuse project server is using the wrong url.

If I create a document library under an existing project, the URL to the
create doclib page is
https://<server>/Sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments/_layouts/1033/new.aspx?

However, the URL generated is
https://<server>/Sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments/_layouts/1044/new.aspx?

It is the 1044 that has been replaced from 1033, which is causing the
problem. If I'm not mistaken, this has to do with the language code use. But
I cannot find anywhere this setting can be configured on the sharepoint
site...

We are able to create sub folders in the default "Shared Documents".

Anyone with some good ideas as to how one can fix it?

1033 is the standard English language version (1044 thus some other
language).

Please tell us

a) which language version of the OS you installed
b) which language version of WSS you installed
c) which language version of Project Server 2003 you installed

We have installed English version of all systems - OS, WSS, and Project Server.

The only thing that is not english is the regional settings on the OS, and
on the Project server site on WSS which is set to Norwegian

I only know WSS but it looks to me (warning: guess coming) that WSS is
creating this link as 1044 (Norwegian) because that is what the regional
setting in WSS is saying.

I wonder if *Project Server 2003* needs to be set to Norwegian so that the
pages it is actually generating (i.e. not the links) are also 1044. [Again I
don't know Project server 2003 well enough to know if it too has a regional
setting]

You're quite right. By changing the regional setting of the Ms project site
back to default English(American) on the WSS server, it works.

Unfortunately there's no place to configure the MS Project server side of
this for this type of settings, so I guess we just have to live with this
limitation.

Thanks for lending your brain :)

Paal
