Sharepoint issues

I'm encountering some troubles installing and configuring SharePoint to
work with Project Server. I did some testing, installing and
uninstalling, changing configuration, but i end up always with a Project
Web Access which does not work properly after extending the site in
SharePoint.

Now i have uninstalled SharePoint Services 2.0. I have a functional
setup of Windows Server 2003 SP1, MS SQL 2000 SP4, and Project Server 2003

Can anyone show me the "right" path to install and configure SharePoint
to work with Proejct?

Thank you for any suggestion.

Have you looked at the Microsoft Installation Guide for Project Server 2003
on a single server ?

If not, do so.It's very detailed - however it specifies installing WSS
before Project Server 2003 ...

Yes i did. It all went without trouble, but in the end my users were not
able to use Project Web Access - they could access it, but several web
pages shows component errors.
I did some testing, and found that by removing SharePoint services,
Project Web Access works fine.

So i'm focused on installing SharePoint Services from scratch and
configuring it right. Someone suggested to install it on a different web
site (a point that the Installation Guide does not talk a lot about) but
i was not able to do it.

I also encountered similar problems.
Try the following:

Go to your sharepoint central administration
Click extend or upgrade virtual server
Your site probably won't be in the list, so click "complete list"
Click on your sharepoint site
Under Virtual Server Management, click on Define Managed Paths
Make sure you have the following excluded paths:
uddi
uddipublic
projectserver (This is what my virtual directory is called in IIS)
msadc

Hope this helps

That was it! The path to "msadc" was missing from the excluded paths!
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
