"sharepoint lists".. prompted for credentials for some reason .. outlook 2003/2007

I cant quite figure out why this is occurring.. but when i log into
outlook.. it will prompt me to provide credentials for
"intranet.domain.local"... I'm not sure why though.. as if anything it
should prompt for credentials to just "intranet".. or maybe our
server.. like "server.pst.local"...

we access the intranet via http://intranet ...

Is there a way I can check this or fix this?

It is replicated by clicking on the "My site - private
documents" (after i click cancel on the credentials, then click this
folder.. it will prompt me again)..
