Sharepoint or Expressions

currently faculty are using FrontPage to create their web pages. whot would
be the best option for these faculty to use SharePoint or Expressions, given
the fact that a number of them are not real web-page design savey? i will
ultimately be doing the trainig and answering questions.

Does the web they are publishing to use SharePoint?

If they're using FP now, they should go to Expression Web, if you are
choosing to upgrade.

I'm in the same boat you are. For myself, I prefer the SharePoint over
Expressions even though I don't intend to use it on Sharepoint sites. It
has a few more features in in than Expressions, like "Preview." Both are
described by MS as for "Professionals."

For the less savvy folks, I am a bit stumped.
There is the Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Version Beta 2 which is
described as for hobbyists and home users. Give it a whirl at

I don't think that any of the the MS offerings are as good as FrontPage.

I am looking at KompoZer:

But the development team I think is down to one who is crying for help.
The last release was a year ago. It is simple to use. You should try it.
It checks documents in and out using FTP pretty well. Still, it ain't FP.
