SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Connectivity to Project Server 2003

David

Hello all,

I currently have a SPS 2003 server as well as a separate Project
Server that I am attempting to get connected. On the Project Server,
under Admin --> Manage Windows SharePoint Services --> Connect to
SharePoint Portal Server, I have entered the correct URLs for our SPS
instance and Project confirms that the connection was successfully
made. When I back out 1 level to the Manage Windows SharePoint Services

page and then to Connect to SharePoint Server, I am prompted to enter
the URLs for my SharePoint Services Management page, as well as where
to create the site within SharePoint. I have run the WSSWiz.exe utility

on our SharePoint Portal Server, and this completed successfully and
established the MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments site on the server.
Using the "Test URL" functions on the Project Server page to manage
SharePoint connections, I have confirmed that I can reach the
SharePoint administrative URL as well as open the link to the
MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments site. However, when I attempt to save
my changes I am presented with an error window/message that states
"Project Server cannot connect to the specified web server running
Windows SharePoint Services". Could anyone provide me with some insight

as to why this is not working for me? It would be greatly appreciated.
If I have left out any details, please let me know and I will post
further. Thank you!

As an update to my previous post, I have been able to successfully
get
Project to recognize our SharePoint Portal Server. However, when I go
into the Admin --> Manage Windows SharePoint Services --> Manage
SharePoint Sites, I see all of the projects we have that are currently
published on the Project server. The Public Documents
(MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments) project is present along with its
associated URL, and the site is functional when I click the link.
However for all of the other projects shown, whenever I attempt to
create a site for them I receive "Windows SharePoint Services Remote
Administration Failed To Create The Site". Any thoughts?
