Sharepoint problem

When trying to open a website on my hard disk I get the following message
"Server error The URL C: is not contained within a windows sharepoint
services site"
Sites open ok from the Recently used list.
I am not in any way involved with Sharepoint so cannot understand why I get
this message

It is actually referring to the FP server extensions.
How are you trying to open your website? What path are you using?
