Sharepoint Search Index Corrupt

Hi All,

I ran a db maintenance plan and included the rebuild index option and since
then my sharepoint server DB is filling up my event logs with errors:

An index corruption was detected in component IndexDirectory1 in catalog
AnchorProject. Stack trace is .Component: 4ce900db-8f50-4c02-9c8d-6d94c8e66313

anyone has any insights to this issue would appreciated.
