Sharepoint Sites URL for Project Server

Hi:

I'm having trouble configuring the integration between PS 2003 and SPS 2003.
I have a SPS server with several provisioned Web Sites. The access to these
web sites are diferenced by host headers (all sites share the same ip and
port). I ran in one of these provisioned sites the Wizard to configure it to
support the project server template. To access this provisioned web site i
use a FQDN like spproject.domain.com, this web site isn't the default in the
iis at the Sharepoint Server.

In PWA when configuring "Create a site under this Sharepoint URL" at
"Connect to SharePoint server" page i'm trying to use the
http://spproject.domain.com/sites URL. And the internal name of the server
(spsserver) at the "Sharepoint Central Administration URL". When i try to
save changes the following message appear:

project server cannot connect to the specified web server running windows
sharepoint services.
please check the http protocols and the port numbers in both urls.

I make it work by configuring the provisioned web site spproject.domain.com
in the iis with another port like spsserver:4090 and typing the new URL in
PWA.

Is possible to configure the Sharepoint Site URL in PWA with a different URL
rather than the internal name of the server?
