SharePoint unable to update InfoPath form

Using Sharepoint and InfoPath 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh.

I upload my form in Central Administration, activate it on my site and all
works well. The form has code behind. But when I need to update the
InfoPath form and re-upload, I get the following error even with "Upgrade the
form template if it already exists " is checcked and I've changed the
version of both my form and my code project:

The assembly Travel Request18.dll from form template Travel
Request.xsn(urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:infopath:Travel-Request:-myXSD-2006-09-13T16-29-06)
conflicts with a same named assembly in an older version of this form.
Upgrade the version of the assembly in the newer version of the form template
and try again.

I was able to work around the form issue for a while changing the assembly
name.

Eventually though I got this error:

Solution "171df230-6641-ff57-0aca-f4bbe142b9e3-325.wsp" is not deployed. It
is upgraded in the configuration database. To deploy to the front end
machines, use the Deploy method.

One way way I found aroung this was to remove the managed form, import my
new form with the changed asembly name, deactivate the form from the site,
activate the form ont eh site again, then reset iis.
