SharepointListAdapter to submit form with c#

I would like to submit a form using managed code (c#) to a sharepoint
form library. I am doing this currently in a very sloppy manner using
webservices and byte arrays.

My question is:

Does anyone know to which framework /assembly the SharepointListAdapter
object belongs?

Does anyone have any code examples of calling a DataConnection of the
submit variety?
