I've searched this forum, but cant find an answer, so im hoping someone can
help.
I work in a small office, we have 3 computers and an additonal server all
networked together (with cables). We have recently come across some software
to make our job easier, its in the form of an Access database. This piece of
software is designed to be opened and edited on multiple computers at the
same time, yet i cant get it to function as such.
It appears that all 3 computers can access the same database (i.e. modify
the same data), but not at the same time (like it was designed to). I'm
actually getting the error message " the database is already open as
adminstrator by [user] on [computer]"
The design of the database is password protected, so i cant change any
settings. I 've seen the database run on multiple computers in other offices,
but no one can expalin to me how.
Im hoping someone, can shed some light on this annoying problem.
Thanks in advance.
p.s. running xp and access 2003, if that helps.
