sharing a master calendar

In setting up a master calendar for the network
workstations it no longer populates either direction. We
do not utilize MS Exchange Server - we use a 3rd party
email server. Why do the calendars no longer populate?
The invitation goes out but population never happens. any
thoughts. Is MS Exchange server required to be installed?

You can not share calendar without Exchange. If you do not want to use
Exchange and do want to share your calendar in your network, you can
try other softwares, please visit http://www.winpim.com to have a
