Sharing a PST File

I have a desktop that uses Outlook. I am not attached to an Exchange server.
I use it for getting my POP email. I will be getting a new laptop in the
next couple of days. Is there a way that I can share that PST file between
the desktop and the laptop? So that when I am using the desktop, it
synchronizes the laptop and vice-versa.

There are some workarounds you can find at www.slipstick.com but PST files
were not made to be shared
