Sharing Access in different locations

I am having a problem getting an access 97 databse to be
shareable at two locations. We have mapped the drives and
the databse shows up. However, after entering the system
password, the message comes up saying that it can not be
opened since someone else is already looking at it.

I have write access and the person at the other location
has read access only. Is there a tip that you can suggest?

You might want to check the permissions (network) on the folder in which the
database is found. They need to be Read, Write, Create, Modify, Delete,
Execute.

In order for Access to effect the sharing of a database, it creates an LDB
file when the database is first opened. Subsequent users cause the LDB file
to be modified. When the last user exits the database, the LDB file must be
deleted. So all of the permissions must be available on the folder; these,
of course, are completely separate from any permissions which are set up
within Access' own security functionality.
