Sharing archived folders

K. Diotte

I would like to share an archived folder with a colleague, but I don't know
if it is possible. I have shared un-archived folders without any problems.

Thank you for your help!

You can share your main folders probably because they're on an Exchange
server. Archive folders, however, are on your hard drive and on one but you
has access to them. You can, however, close Outlook and copy your Archive PST
to a network share. Your collegue can then copy that PST to his or her own PC
and open it in Outlook with File>Open>Outlook Data File. They'll see a copy
of everything you had when you copied the PST.

If you want to limit what they see, create a new PST with File>New>Outlook
Data File and then copy only the data you want to share to that PST. CLose
Outlook and copy that smaller PST to the network share where your collegue can
retrieve it.
