Hi there,
I've just set up my own business with a friend and we're having
problem with BCM in Outlook 2003. I was recommended your Group and
hope someone might be able to share some expertise.
Both our computers are on a wireless peer-to-peer network and running
Windows XP Pro SP2.
Both have BCM and MACHINE A holds the database. In order to share the
db with MACHINE B, Outlook says to create a user on MACHINE A with
exactly the same name and password as MACHINE B. Done all that and
allowed for sharing and disable Windows Firewall.
But when we try to connect MACHINE B to MACHINE A it comes up with
"Verification of your remote user acccount on computer MACHINE A has
failed. Possible causes include: your remote account is disabled ,
your remote account is locked out, or the remote database has not been
marked as shared".
We've managed normal file share (as a workgroup), but this I'm
completly stuck! Any help would be really appreciated.
Thank you,
Rob
