Sharing calendar

Say, Tony has a calendar that he is sharing with having Office 2003
installed, and, the user having Office 2003 does not have an option to Open
the shared calendar.

On the other hand, a user with Office 2007 installed readily has an option
to open the shared calendar.

Is it possible to open the shared calendar using Outlook 2003?

As long as they are all on the same Exchange server, yes.
File-> Open-> Other User's Folder...
