Sharing Calendars Between Outlook Installations

Is the only way to share a calendar between two computers in Outlook to use
Exchange?

If no, what are the alternatives?

If yes, does anyone run an ISP / ASP that offers a low cost Exchange service
for 10 or fewer users, with no e-mail? I want to compare this cost against
setting up and maintaining our own server.

If you have Exchange, then Public Folders or calendar sharing (right-click
Calendar, choose Sharing).
