sharing calendars peer to peer

I am running Office on two computers connected peer to peer.
So far, each has its own copy of Office, although I have only installed
Outlook on one PC so far.
I want to use Outlook soley for its calender function. We have a single
calendar shared by both users. Is there any way to do this WITHOUT an
exchange server? Is it possible to launch the copy of Outlook that resides
on computer A from computer B? So far when I have tried this I get a message
about missing or corrupt DLLs.
