Sharing Contacts

We "upgraded" from Outlook Express to Outlook 2000 for the sole purpose of
sharing our contacts information across a 3-user network w/o Exchange
Server.

It doesn't work very well, and I'm about ready to give up. Our computers
are constantly emailing each other, and sometimes of the shared contacts
folder works, and sometimes it doesn't.

I've already explored Slipstick.com, and I realize that I'm not alone in
this problem.

So is there a real fix (maybe Outlook 2002/2003), or do I just go back to
Outlook Express and give up?

Outlook 2002 and 2003 have nothing at all built in to share Outlook contacts. See http://www.slipstick.com/addins/groupcontacts.htm for various group address book solutions that don't involve Exchange.
