Sharing Contacts

Is there a way to share contacts between two computers on a home network without having MS Exchange Server? I would love to simply set the original contacts folder to "share" just as I would a folder, drive, or printer, but it won't let me. Is there any way to accomplish this without copying/pasting pst files? If not, is there any other software for home users that will accomplish this without having to spend >$1,000 for MS Exchange Server 2003?

Outlook versions after 2000 have no built-in method for sharing any data
beyond free/busy calendar time. See
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/groupcontacts.htm for various third-party
solutions for maintaining a shared address book without Exchange Server.
