I'm new to Entourage and fairly new to Mac so this might be a silly question. We have 4 Macs and we would like to be able to share and edit our contacts among ourselves. Although our computers are connected we don't have MS Exchange or and .MAC account. Are either of these neccessary for us to share our contacts using entoruage of is there another way? We basically want to sync all our contacts and able to edit them.

Thank you in advance

The Plaxo option is probably the best. It's free and Comcast account now
offer the premium package of Plaxo for free.

So by using a shared project in Entourage I'm able to share my contacts but all of my shared contacts don't have the category that I assigned to then. What can I do other than going to each separate computer and manually assigning the category again? This would be time consuming and something that I wish to avoid. It would also be awful if in the future an announcement had to be made to everyone in the office to remember to assign the appropriate category each time someone add a new contact.

Export your contacts as Entourage archive (.rge) that will include
categories. Import that file to the other computers.

Thanks for all the help so far but I still have one more problem. So I created the shared project so that everyone in our office can have access to all our contacts. The problem is that although I'm the creator the shared folder is on my boss' computer, which is the main one. So I tried inviting her to join the project but that didn't work. So I went to entourage help and saw this.

You must subscribe manually if a shared project is stored in a shared folder on the computer of the person who created the project, rather than in a network location, the person who created the project cannot send you an invitation to join the project. To subscribe to a project manually, click Subscribe to a Project on the File menu in the Project Center.

So my boss imported the shared contacts into her project center and then manually subscribing to it. Although it says that she is part of the project and "sharing" her computer won't sync with the rest of ours. When I added a new contact to the project center and share it, it showed up on all the computers except on my boss/ main computer. Or vice versa when a contact is added on that computer it does not show up on the other computers. So all the computers seem to be syncing expect for the main one that has the shared folder on it. How do I fix this problem?

Thanks
