Sharing Database on Network drive

R

Rafael Mobin

Hi,

I recently finished a Database Application on Access
2000. I followed the instructions to make the database
available in the company's shared network drive. so I
went to the Windows explorer and copied the database file
to the Network shared drive L:\Equipment\Rafael's Projects\

The other user which is going to need to be able to access
the database can start the database, However when she trys
to click on a command button to preview a report it gives
here the following error message dialog: "Compile Error:
Can't find project or library" I do not know why it is
giving her this message. I startup the database and use
all the feature just fine. I also access the database on
the network drive. Can someone please help?!?!

You will need to check that person's pc. It is very possible that pc has a
broken reference.

Also, if you are going to use ms-access in a multi-user environment, you
should be giving each user a mde file on EACH pc, and linking this file to
the back end data file. For info on this..check out:
