sharing excel over a webpage

Hello,

Is there a product out there that allows an Excel file to be viewed and
editable over a webpage?

Along with editing, it also needs an audit trail to track which users made
edits and also, sortable columns and the ability to run VBA macros.

I believe Sharepoint does this, but at an incredibly high licensing cost.

Thanks for any help,

jcy

Both GemBox and FarPoint make server-side spreadsheet controls for
ASP.NET and WPF-browser applications that read and write native Excel
files and allow for most of the functionality provided by Excel. The
end user connected to the server need not have Excel on his machine
(nor is Excel required on the server). However, these are not
inexpensive products.

Microsoft used to make a Office Web Control Spreadsheet, but I believe
that is no longer available. (Merged into SharePoint, I think.)
