Our small business needs to be able to share contact information - we are
often at client sites, at home or elsewhere and need to be able to access
this shared contact info.
At the moment, we have a shared contacts list on our Exchange Server 2003,
which works fine, but we also need to be able to categorise the contacts and
send emails to specific categories / export by category. For example, one
category will be 'Newsletter' (those clients who wish to receive our monthly
newsletter).
BCM 2003 doesn't seem to be able to do this for me, and whilst categories in
BCM 2007 are much better, it seems that we won't be able to share the
contacts database without installing SQL Server 2005. Is this correct?
My question really is if we can link BCM 2007 to our existing Exchange
Server database rather than an SQL server - all I'm wanting out of it is
sharing, and to be able to send an email to a specific category of contacts.
Thanks for your help!
