Sharing Folder Workspace- Constant Sync Collisions

We are trying to use Groove to Share & Edit Files, using a Shared Folder
Workspace.
We are finding that we get constant sync collisions - constant meaning EVERY
time - every save from every user gets saved as a different file. Nothing is
syncronyzed. It does not maker whether 2 users are in the file or only 1 -
still happens.

We are sharing CAD files in this workspace - The product does not say "Don't
use CAD files in Groove" but the word from MS tech support is like "CAD
files?? Why do you want to do that? They don't work in Groove! Can I
interest you in some nice Word documents?".
We are an Architecture Firm!! If we could do our work in Word - I'd do it -
but we can't.
Long story short.

Has anyone had any luck sharing/editing CAD files in a Groove 2007 Folder
Workspace?

And for MS:
Is this 'Constant Sync Collisions' problem consider a 'Bug' that will be
fixed - or should I start looking elsewhere for a solution?

I am just curious, but is this because your CAD application has the
documents locked for editing, or does the problem also occur if you
synchronize the file when the application is closed? Some applications
maintain a lock on the files in the workspace to speed up access and prevent
anyone else editing them at the same time.
