Sharing hyperlinked power point over e-mail

I have created a power point with hyperlinks to text files, but when I e-mail the presentation to others they are not able to open the hyperlinks. I have attached the documents along with the presentation and asked them to download to their desktop, but it still fails. Any suggestions?

You need to place the files in the same folder as the presentation file
before creating the hyperlinks, then zip/stuff the whole folder & send that.

Thanks for your quick response. I did the above, but still had problems. My co IT told me I would have to have the people that I want to share the presentation with log onto our departmental server, which will work, but is there any other way around that?
