sharing issue with Business Contact Manager in Outlook 2007

We are trying to share a BCM database between three computers linked on a
wireless network, all using Outlook 2007. We've gotten as far as the
computer with the database (computer #1) giving permission to computers 2 and
3, but we get stuck when trying to log in with the remote password given to
us by computer #1, even though we know the p/w is correct. We have tried
this many times and gone over each item on the help menu. Any workaround or
fix would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check:
1) The user name on the XP or vista client is a User on the box1. Password
must be same and not blank (I think). Verify Case.
2) You must Share BCM DB on box1 and select other 2 users to enable.
3) Clients should be able to connect to box1 using IP address or host name
(if added to hosts file or in DNS, etc)

Thank you.
1) yes, done.
2) yes, done. other 2 boxes were added from network.
3) tried using host name. should we be using IP address instead?
still receiving error message that password is not recognized. have deleted
everything and started over, it doesn't fix errror.
Any other suggestions? thank you.

1 Make sure Workgroup name is the same on all 3 boxes.
2 Make sure caps lock is not on one of the boxes.
3 Disable firewall sw on box1 for testing.
4 Make sure tcp and netbios is enabled in tcp.
5 Make sure you can ping box1 from each other box.
6 Make sure you are on same subnet mask and IP network (unless router
between).

Other then those, not sure.

We are following up to let you know that 1)there was a naming issue with both
the Workgroup and the boxes and that there were some settings that needed to
be changed in the standard Vista settings. We seem to be working AOK now,
but sure would like to be able to populate BCM contacts from our own personal
contacts. Ah well, maybe some day... :)
Thank you again for your comments. Have a great week!

You can populate BCM contacts from contacts. Just copy and paste contact(s)
to BCM contacts -or- you can also right-click contacts folder and select
"Copy..." to BCM folder to copy all contacts.
